Fanfic: The Sodor Engines Specials: Sodor, Part Seven

Plot

Toby, Percy, and Rosie find Duck, who tells them everything. The three then help Thomas rescue Lady.

Narrator: Meanwhile, Rosie, Percy, and Toby were heading down the line to find help. Near the entrance to the old line, Toby braked to a halt.

Rosie: What is it, Toby?

Toby: There's an old line through here. I've never seen it before.

Percy: Maybe it was recently found. See, an engine must have gone through the plants right there.

Rosie: Let's investigate!

Narrator: And so the three engines rolled down the old line. What they found at the end was a surprise.

Rosie: Duck!

Percy: What are you doing here?

Narrator: Duck told them everything that had happened. The engines were astounded.

Percy: But Stephen seemed so nice . . .

Toby: We've got to find Lady.

Rosie: But what about Duck?

Duck: Don't worry about me. I'll be all right.

Narrator: The tank engines went back to the yard, as they knew that Diesel 10 was based there. Halfway there, Percy spotted Thomas resting in a siding.

Thomas: Why are you here?

Rosie: (Hurridly) Stephen's a spy and Edward's let himself be captured for us and Diesel 10 has Lady!

Thomas: What?!

Toby: We've got to rescue Lady!

Narrator: The steamie foursome quickly reached the yards and hid in the sidings.

Percy: There's no way to get Lady!

Thomas: We'll see about that.

Narrator: Dodge and Splatter, who were guarding Lady and Edward, were sitting silently when there was a loud noise form the other side of the yard. They rushed off to investigate. When they got there, they discovered two tank engines were noisily banging trucks.

Dodge: What do we have here?

Thomas: Wait we're on your side!

Splatter: Yeah? Why?

Rosie: 'Cause . . uh . . . Sir Topham Hatt made us look like idiots!

Thomas: Yeah! We hate him now!

Rosie: And his railway!

Dodge: What can you do to help us?

Thomas: We know the railway. You know that engine you got, Lady?

Splatter: Mm-hmm.

Thomas: She's worthless compared to the railway's real source of power.

Dodge: And that is?

Rosie: The lost, um, truck!

Thomas: (whispering) What?!

Rosie (whispering) First thing I could think of! Just go with it! (Loudly) Yeah! The lost truck! It can make all steamies blow up!

Dodge and Splatter: Really?

Rosie: Yeah! You just have to say, "Blow up all steamies but us!"

Dodge: And where is this "Lost Truck"?

Rosie: It's, uh, um, er, ah, in the . . .

Narrator: Just then, Percy and Toby raced by with Lady in tow. Thomas and Rosie raced after them leaving the two confused and cross. They ran to tell Diesel 10 what had happened.

Diesel 10: You let thewm get away with Lady?!

Splatter: Yeah, but a steamie told us about a powerful "Lost Truck"!

Dodge: Yeah, yeah! We don't need Lady!

Diesel 10: You moron! There is no "Lost Truck"! Get those steamies! Narrator: And all of the diesels raced out of the yards in pursuit of Lady. Fortunately, the steamies were far ahead.

Thomas: Cut it a little close there.

Toby: At least we got out of there alive!

Rosie: Thomas? The diesels are after us!

Thomas: We'll just have to go faster than them, won't we?

Narrator: And they sped off into the dusk.
