FanFic:The Sodor Engines Rolling Stock

From TrainSpottingWorld, for Rail fans everywhere

The North Western Railway and the Skarloey Railway both have a great amount of traffic, and so require many different types of rolling stock.

Coaches

Coaches are generally well-behaved and helpful, although they sometimes like to pay misbehaved engines out. The engines greatly prefer them over trucks.

NW Coaches

Annie & Clarabel

Annie and Clarabel are Thomas's coaches. He is rarely seen without them. They are almost as old as Edward, but after being given to Thomas, they were restored and are good as new. Thomas likes them both very much, and the three are good friends. They act as a foil to Thomas's character, cautioning him and giving him advice. They can sometimes be fussy, but Thomas looks past this. He worries about them when they are with another engine.

The Express Coaches

The Express Coaches run on the Wild Nor' Wester. They love speed, and have a tendency to stuck-up.

Alice and Mirabel

Alice and Mirabel are Duck's coaches. Their characters are very similar to Annie and Clarabel, but they are younger and less fussy.

Isabel and Dulcie

Isabel and Dulcie are Oliver's coaches. Dulcie is Alice and Mirabel's sister. Isabel was with Oliver from the start, and escaped scrap with him. They sometimes worry about Oliver if he gets too uppity.

Sally & Meredith

Sally and Meredith are coaches on the Little Western. They are open, and resemble trucks with chairs in them. Sir Topham Hatt had them built to increase traffic, and this turned out to be a wise move.

Emily's Coaches

Emily's Coaches run with Emily. She originally pulled them from the express line, where they had jammed in a switch, seconds before Gordon pulverized them. Little is known of their character, although the official site names them as Betty and Harriet.

The Mail Coaches

The Mail Coaches are the official coaches of the Sodor Postage System. Percy often pulls them.

Skarloey Railway

Agnes, Ruth, Lucy, Jemima, and Beatrice

Agnes, Ruth, Lucy, Jemima, and Beatrice are the main coaches of the Skarloey Railway. They are kind, but like to pay out troublesome engines (like Sir Handel and Duncan).

Trucks

Trucks are troublesome and mischievous; few engines like to work with them. Those who do are either similar in personality to them, or can control them well. They like to cause accidents, and trouble in general. There are exceptions to this rule: Hector, for one.

NW Trucks

S.C. Ruffy

S.C. Ruffy (often called Scruffy) is a private-owner wagon. He caused trouble for Oliver, and was ringleader of the trucks for a time. Oliver tried his best to stop Scruffy, but nothing worked. However, Scruffy destroyed himself; he started a runaway, but was smashed when the train (which he was at the front of) crashed into the buffers. He was rebuilt, but now keeps quiet and is very obedient.

Hector

Hector is a large black hopper truck. His name stands for Heavily Engineered Coal Truck On Rails. When he first arrived, he was troublesome, and mean. Emily accidently (and constantly) bumped him, leading to anger on Hector's part. The two bullied each other until they both had an accident. Hector then revealed the source of his anger: he didn't want to be loaded. Emily showed him it wasn't bad, and Hector became friendly and helpful.
