FanFic:The Sodor Engines: Emily

From TrainSpottingWorld, for Rail fans everywhere

Emily is an emerald green tender engine.

History

Emily was built in the late nineteenth century by the Great Northern Railway. She worked it until 1921, where she was transferred to the LMS. There, she was put into storage for almost half a decade, and was sold to Sir Topham Hatt’s railway in 1973. Thus, she still ran well, despite her age, which even Edward’s.

Without the guidance of more experienced engines, Emily made a royal mess of her jobs. This made the other engines see her as something of an idiot. Emily did prove herself when she rescued two coaches from a collision, and has earned the respect of her peers.

Emily currently works on the main line, taking light passenger and freight trains. She is also useful for branch line work, and once, when taking Thomas's place on the branch line, was able to run everything properly.

Personality

Emily can be very bossy and likes to have things her own way. This usually only makes the other engines less likely to do what she tells them to. Emily does have a caring side, and she likes to help the other engines.

Basis

Emily is based on a Stirling 4-2-2 of the GNR.
