FanFic:Global Railways Productions
Global Railways Productions is the studio that produces television shows, movies, and documentaries about railways across the world. Its first show (and its most successful one) was The Sodor Engines, starring Thomas the Tank Engine. It is based in the United States.
History
Global Railways was founded in 2011 by a train fan named Matthias Stanier-Gresley. After encountering some road bumps (like getting a loan from a bank), he purchased several models and began making the popular telvision series The Sodor Engines. Despite intially bad reviews, the show took off and is currently the most popular children's television series ever.
Stanier-Gresley tried another Thomas-themed series: Last of the Railroads, this one aimed at older viewers. Although there were some avid fans, the series ran out of resources halfway through the first season and was forced to go off the air.
Despite this, Global Railways remained firm on its feet, and began producing many documentaries and movies about railways from all over the world.
