Script
Narrator: Meanwhile, at Tidmouth sheds, the engines had just fallen asleep. Thomas slept fitfully. He had a very strange dream.
(Enter Thomas's dream sequence)
Narrator: He could see the island of Sodor, but he was above it, not on it. He saw his friends going about their daily business. The sun rose and sank in minutes. The railway started to more run-down and fewer and fewer engines were working. At last all that was left of the North Western Railway were some old tracks on which a diesel would sometimes scuttle along, going from yard to yard.
Thomas: (Talking in his Sleep) zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz-No!-zzzzzzzzzzzzzz-No! That can’t happen!-zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Narrator: It was so real. He could see the tracks rotting and hear the stations crumbling.
(Exit Thomas's dream sequence)
Narrator: And then Thomas woke up. He could still hear the crumbling noise. The he realized that the noise was coming from the shed! He blew his whistle loud and long.
Thomas: Wake up! The shed’s collapsing!
Narrator: All of the engines got out as quickly as possible. They watched in horror as the shed roof sagged and collapsed.
Rosie: What could have done this?
Edward: Something bad. Something very bad.
Emily: We're now homeless!
Gordon: I suppoe we could stay at the Knapford coach sheds.
Narrator: And so Gordon, Donald, Douglas, Emily and Oliver puffed away.
Edward: Come on. We can stay in the station.
(Edward, Percy, Toby, and Rosie puff away. Cut to Gordon, Donald, Douglas, Emily, and Oliver puffing through the countryside.)
Oliver: It's strange that it was so easy to collapse the shed.
Donald: Aye. But remember, yon shed was under renovations, so it was easy, if ye could just sneak up.
Gordon: What's that?
(Five sets of headlights cut through the darkness)
Douglas: It be diesels!
('Arry, Bert, 758, 145, and an unnamed diesel roll forward)
Bert: Who's there?
Oliver: (whispering) It's the diesels that tried to scrap me!
Gordon: (Whispering) And the diesels that called me a heap of scrap!
Narrator: Just then, Emily let off a wave of steam.
758: There are steamies about!
145: Let's smash 'em.
(The steamies and diesels face off. 'Arry suddenly bumps Oliver.)
Narrator: Suddenly, all of the engines were fighting each other.
(Engines bump and bash each other.)
Narrator: When the dust settled, the diesels had all been derailed. But the steamies were badly damaged, and Donald and Emily couldn't even puff.
Oliver: We need to get to Crovan's Gate.
Gordon: We must be careful. We can't risk any more run-ins like this.
Narrator: Meanwhile, James and Henry were rushing down the line to warn the other engines about the coal. As they reached Maron, James saw Thomas and Duck puffing down the line.
Thomas: Here's Wellsworth. We might as well fill up with coal. There's little chancce we'll have another chance.
Narrator: James and Henry could see Thomas and Duck roll up to the coal hopper, but they were too far away for the tank engines to hear their warnings.
Henry: Move faster!
James: (panting) I'm trying!
Narrator: Henry pumped his pistons and started to go faster than ever before. James was shived along by the green engine's sudden acceleration. The coal chute started to open as Henry and James thundered down the hill at an impossible speed. Thomas and Duck were shoved clear of the toxic coal, but the coal dust flew through the air, settling in James and Henry's fireboxes.
James: You're (cough) safe!
Narrator: Henry and James explained what they had heard and Thomas and Duck pushed them into some sidings out of the way.
Duck: Don't worry. We'll tell the other engines.
Narrator: And with that, Thomas and Duck puffed away.
