List of Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends Songs
Mike O'Donnell and Junior Campbell wrote songs for the Series from 1995 to 2003, Series 4 to 7. These songs were not released on TV; they were released on audio cassettes or on videos/dvds (in which case, they were accompanied with a music video). A lot of the time the songs were based off character themes which they had composed and were used as incidental music.
In the UK, the first nine songs were released on an audio cassette in the mid 1990s by EMI, and featured them around narration of a story about a "Best Kept Station Competition" which was told by Michael Angelis. The songs "That's what friends are for" and "Rules & Regulations" have never been given music videos, though, unlike every other song created for the series.
The songs created for Series 6 and 7 were not yet released in the UK or Australia, aside from Winter Wonderland, along with a music video. However, a promotional DVD available only at Woolworths contained three of the Series 7 songs previously only available in the UK by import from the USA or Singapore.
However, on June 10, 2007, a free promotional DVD from the Sunday Mirror contained three Series 7 songs. These were the first from that series to be released in the UK. They are Five New Engines in the Shed, The Red Balloon and Troublesome Trucks.

Trivia
- The original given title for "Never, Never Give Up" included three "Never"s, however, a recent Singapore VCD release reveals that the correct title is "Never, Never Give Up", although in the song, three "Never"s in a row are used, rather than just two.
- For Seasons 8 to 10, Engine Roll Call appears at the end of each 30 minute show. Some shows also have other music videos, replacing one of the interactive interstitials.
- The Season 4-7 songs have only appeared on VHS and DVD, and were never shown on television, but some appeared in "Shining Time Station"and in "Storytime with Thomas".
- The songs were sung by Tom Penta, Laura Penta, Victoria Ferrer, Louise Roberts and Joanna Wyatt.
- In the Sir Topham Hatt song the ram from Baa! is used but the background from Edward, Gordon and Henry is used.
