Scout is a friendly and clever tender engine.

Bio

Scout was built in 2022 for British Railways. When it closed in 2030, she was sold at the Great Auction House, most likely for scrap. Luckily for her, Mr. Capp was desperate for any engine he could find and promptly bought her. When she arrived on the Smoky Valley Railroad, Scout was given the job of pulling all of the main line frieght trains, which she has dutifully performed ever since.

Personality

Scout is a good-natured and intelligent engine. She acts as the voice of reason behind Johnny and Marian's antics. Although they mostly ignore her, she is remarkablely foresighted: when the engines were kidnapped in 2048, Scout was the only one level-headed enough to leave clues as to where they were being taken, which proved very helpful to Johnny and Thomas, who were tracking them.

Of all of his engines, Mr. Capp likes her her best, simply because she will do her work without fuss or bother.
