• 15. Robert and the Trucks - Robert is unaccustomed to dealing with the harbor's troublesome trucks.
• 16. James' Inspection - James ruins the harbor's reputations in front of an inspector.
• 17. Journey - Things go wrong when Thomas takes a slow goods train up the line.
• 18. Goodbye, Robert - Robert's departure is interrupted by a shunting disaster.
• 19. Runaway - Percy must catch some trucks on the main line before Richard hits them.
• 20. Nationalisation - British Railways is founded, and the engines wonder about their future.
