The Gakkentoshi Line (学研都市線 Gakkentoshi-sen?) is the nickname of the Katamachi Line (片町線 Katamachi-sen?), one of commuter rail lines and services in Osaka-Kobe-Kyoto Metropolitan Area, owned and operated by West Japan Railway Company. The line originates Kizu Station in Kyoto Prefecture through Kyobashi Station in Osaka City. Its nickname, literally "Science City Line," comes from the Kansai Science City, which is located on the line between Osaka and Nara.

The Gakkentoshi Line is connected by the JR Tozai Line to the JR Kobe Line and JR Takarazuka Line, allowing trains from Nara to operate as far west as Kobe, Himeji, and Sanda.

Maximum speed: 120km/h
