The "Aeolus," a streamlined type 4-6-4 steam locomotive, takes point as the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy's train No. 48, the Black Hawk, heads into Chicago, Illinois on August 10, 1939.

The Black Hawk was a named passenger train operated by the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad between Chicago, Illinois, and Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota. The train operated on an overnight schedule.

The Black Hawk was discontinued on April 12, 1970.
