It's truly great, the work you're doing

I'm more than impressed, and just wanted to say "hi" as one of the two co-founders of the site :)

I was wondering two things:

  1. Did you know that we provide a huge amount more functionality for our account based memebrs that Wikipedia? It's worth checking out, truly, and grabbing an account. We have a chat room which you're so welcome to use for TTTE things and other stuff, and a free blogging service.
  2. Would it be possible to expand the list of TTTE items to include some more description? It isn't compulsory, we're not Wikipedia, and we're happy for lists like this (and much more) to be here. I was just hoping you could make these specialist pages even more useful for the casual surfer, and thus encourage knowledge about Thomas and friends.

Whatever you choose to do, you are totally welcome here, as an anonymous user if you prefer, or with an account. Tim Trent 15:56, 3 June 2007 (UTC)

Wikilinks

You have undone a number of links today. I'm not sure of your justification. I would like to remind you that the articles are owned by the community as a whole, and that links between articles are highly desirable for many reasons, not least of which is visibility in search engines and thus the better promotion of the area that you are editing.

I'd love to hear your rationale for removal of the links. If you have none then please leave them in place. That will build a better catalogue. Tim Trent 16:54, 11 June 2007 (UTC)

Now this is getting silly. You do not respond to me and you keep removing the wikilinks without any form of justification. I am somewhat upset by this on two levels:
  1. I have asked you to stop doing it and yet you persist
  2. You probably do not know this, but this wiki is provided to you by me. While I agree that I have to earn your respect as a competent administrator, I would like you to remember, please, that we do expect people to follow the reasonable requests of our administrators, one of which I am.
I appreciate the good work that you are doing. I do not appreciate the other elements. This is a formal request to cease removing wikilinks unless you can justify it. Tim Trent 22:08, 11 June 2007 (UTC)

Final warning

Your actions on continually undoing wikilinks mean that the articles will be protected against anonymous edits. You do not reply here, nor do you give a rationale for removal. I may also consider blocking this IP address for a period of time, which would be a shame. You are going to need to learn to communicate, with the team here, please. Tim Trent 22:13, 12 June 2007 (UTC)

Blocked for 24 hours

Removing wikilinks you have specifically been asked not to remove is vandalism. Enough is enough. Tim Trent 16:26, 21 July 2007 (UTC)

Blocked for 48 hours

You have been blocked for again removing wikilinks. This block will last for 48 hours. If you have a rationale for removing them, please state that rationale or be prepared for increasing duration blocks Tim Trent 21:35, 2 August 2007 (UTC)

Just how stupid do you think I am?

You undid the wikilink again and gave precisely no rationale for it. So 6you are blocked again. 48 hours didn't seem to work, did it, so I am doubling it again. If you want to discuss this just ask me. A good reason will remove the block. Tim Trent 16:26, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

Now that your latest block has expired

Please work with us instead of against us with regard to wikilinks. We want to create a comprehensive resource, not petty squabbles. We'd very much like your energy to be used to improve things, or to discuss why you wish to remove things. Tim Trent 13:33, 15 August 2007 (UTC)

This is the discussion page for an anonymous user who has not created an account yet, or who does not use it. We therefore have to use the numerical IP address to identify him/her. Such an IP address can be shared by several users. If you are an anonymous user and feel that irrelevant comments have been directed at you, please create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other anonymous users.
