On 16 December 2004, Hornby Railways announced the acquisition of the well known European model train manufacturer Lima, along with certain assets of the Rivarossi, Jouef, Arnold and Pocher ranges. The company produced a large range of European outline models, as well as US and British trains. Hornby are continuing the manufacturing of these models, which are based on German, French, Italian and US prototypes. Most of these models are in 00 gauge and will be released in the first quarter of 2006.
