Alleppey Express is the general name for the train number 6041 that runs from Chennai to Alleppey via Jolarpettai. This is a very important train connecting Kerala. This train was formerly called as Cochin Express but later changed to its present name after the extension of the railway line till Alleppey. The train returns back to Chennai from Alleppey as train number 6042 under the name of Chennai Express.
