The Super White Arrow is a limited express (partially stopping) train service operating along the 136.8 kilometer route between the cities of Sapporo and Asahikawa, on the northernmost of the 4 main Japanese islands, Hokkaidō. It completes the journey in approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes, reaching a peak speed of 130 km/h and averaging 102.6 km/h.

The service was introduced in 1990 by JR Hokkaido due to increasing passenger migration away from rail travel in favor of the newly opened Doo Expressway which opened in the same year.

Schedule

The Super White Arrow service operates at hourly intervals between 08:00 and 21:00. Stations include: Sapporo, Iwamizawa, Bibai, Sunagawa, Takikawa, Fukagawa, and Asahikawa.
