Portland and Willamette Valley Railroad
From TrainSpottingWorld, for Rail fans everywhere
The Portland and Willamette Valley Railroad was incorporated in January 1885 to continue construction of a railroad line between Portland and Dundee in Oregon that had been started a few years earlier.
The railroad was later taken over by Southern Pacific Railroad.
The Willamette Shore Trolley runs on a part of that Dundee-Portland line, between Lake Oswego and Portland.
