- 1866 – The New York and Oswego Midland Railroad is organized.[1]
- 1926 – Great Northern Railway renames Seville station in Glacier County, Montana, to Sundance.[2]
- 1931 – The Detroit Southern Railroad in Michigan reduces passenger service to Mt. Clemens, Michigan, using only a single passenger car to maintain the service.[3]
- 1951 – The last regular passenger train on the San Diego and Arizona Eastern Railway departs San Diego, California.[4]
- 1994 – MidSouth Rail merges into Kansas City Southern Railway.[5]
