Poppa
Poppa is a character from the rock musical, Starlight Express. He's a steam engine just like Rusty and is the oldest train of all the others. He tells Rusty the story about the magical Starlight Express that will grant any wish. When Rusty's spirits are down, Poppa races with Dustin in order to save Rusty a spot in the last race. However, the race is too much for him and he ends up crashing. At the end, Poppa leads them all in "Light at the End of the Tunnel."

Outfit
Poppa's outfit is similar to Rusty's except for the fact that his looks much older. It's usually brown but it has been green on occasion.
Even though he and Rusty are both steam trains, there outfits are nothing alike during Starlight on Ice. Poppa has a smoke stack on his back along with a railway hat, greasy gloves and a plaid patterned shirt.
