Lea Valley Lines
From TrainSpottingWorld, for Rail fans everywhere
The Lea or Lee Valley Lines are three commuter lines and two branches in North East London, so named because they run along the valley of the River Lee (or Lea).
All lines start at London Liverpool Street and are operated by 'one'. The routes are:
- Via Tottenham Hale. This line also forms the lower part of the West Anglia Main Line to Cambridge.
- Via Seven Sisters. This line has a branch at the southern end to Stratford, diverging just south of Seven Sisters, and at the northern end to Enfield Town. The line meets the Tottenham Hale line north of London.
- To Chingford.
The lines are electrified at 25 kV AC overhead.
