Indre Østfoldbanen (the Inner Østfold Railway) is a railway line which runs between Ski and Sarpsborg. It is a branch line, to the main line Østfoldbanen. Indre Østfoldbanen runs east of the main line, serving communities such as Mysen, Askim and Rakkestad. Scheduled passenger service on this line is only provided between Oslo and Rakkestad, and most trains terminate at Mysen. However, freight trains and passenger trains diverted when the main line is closed use the entire line.
