User talk:ZacheryWanzer

From TrainSpottingWorld, for Rail fans everywhere

ZacheryWanzer, welcome to Train Spotting World

If this is the first time you've used a wiki you may have a few questions. Most of the answers are obvious. To learn to edit, why not just dive in? At the foot of the editing window there is a help link. This opens in a new window and gives you a good overview of wiki syntax and stuff.

There are very few rules here. The best summary is:

  • Respect other people's Copyright
  • Behave to others as you would like them to behave to you
  • Do no harm

This is not an encyclopaedia. Pages here do not need to comply with encyclopaedic notions or citations or neutrality. Just dive in and start.

It's always worth having a look at Station announcements every so often, too.

One of the first things you might want to do is to place {{talktome}} at the top of your talk page (this page) above this welcome message. Taking heed of what it says will make it much easier for you to follow discussions on talk pages.

And while you browse the site, and especially when you've created something truly worthwhile, why not Digg and also tag on del.icio.us – the tools are in the left hand menu. The more Diggs (etc) we have the better, because Diggs and del.icio.us links add to our findability. The best way to find out about them is to click on the tool. Each is different and each gives you the chance to "rate" any article here. Or anywhere else come to that!

"Snap", the little link preview window, has options in it that you can tailor to meet your needs. If you like it, stay with the defaults. If not then you can turn it off easily

Best yet you have a Spotting World Blog if you want it. Have a look at your User page. There is a link to let you create your blog. This is part of what Spotting World does for you. Or just go to blogs.spottingworld.com. You can use your blog for any lawful purpose. It's yours to do with as you like. Anyone can read your blog once you create it, but only you can write to it.

There is also a live chat room - see the left hand menu

Any questions, please ask any user on their talk page.

And please tell all your friends about us

Fan Fiction

I have moved your "Thomstar Steamer" page to the FanFic area.

Fan Fiction is welcomed at TSW, provided it complies with the Official Fan Fiction Policy.

Regards EdJogg 22:40, 21 November 2007 (UTC)

While we are happy for users to add/edit FanFic, it would be polite to only delete your own submissions, not those made by others. It would seem to me that C45Te (talk · contribs) has a justified complaint at Talk:FanFic:Potential Plotlines (Thomas & Friends), as you seem to have deleted several of (his) stories without comment. Now, you may not like (his) stories, but if you think that they contain inappropriate content, it would be courteous of you to say so in the edit summary or at least to ask a question on the talk page.
EdJogg 09:47, 21 April 2008 (UTC)

Anyway if you think my stories are inapropriet you will not delete them without asking me first. If i say "Yes" you may do it. If I say "No" for a reason you can't. My stories are essentiel. If you ignore this warning you will be banned for 7 weeks or 49 days. C45Te 17:34, 21 April 2008 (UTC)

ZW: In future, please discuss on the talk page, and if needed get an admin involved. Ignore C's comments about blocking, only an admin can do that, and they will specify a block period. His stories are not essential, and they may be deleted with community discussion, not soley with his permission.
If you have more comments/questions etc, please review EdJogg's talk page, C45Te's talk page, my talk page, the fan fic articles' talk page, the Station Cafe, the Admin's Noticeboard, or the FanFic help.
Thanks,

FanFic Potential Plotlines - FINAL WARNING

ZacheryWanzer, this is your FINAL WARNING. If you continue to remove FanFic articles from the page without discussion first, or an edit summary, you will be blocked for a period of 1 day.

We do not wish to resort to this, however if you are going to be discourteous to others, we have no other option.

Thanks, and I hop you understand,
