Nankai Main Line

The Nankai Main Line (南海本線 Nankai Honsen?) is the railroad route of Nankai Electric Railway connecting Osaka, Sakai, Kishiwada, Izumisano, Misaki, and Wakayama. The name of the line is not "the Main Line" but "the Nankai Main Line". Lines connected to the Nankai Main Lane (the Kōya Line and the Airport Line are excluded) are named generically "the Nankai Line (南海線 Nankai Sen?)". The line is informed with the mark of the wave and the line color is blue.

Operations

In addition to the "Southern" operated between Namba and Wakayamashi or Wakayamakō as the trains connecting to the Shikoku area, the "rapi:t" and airport Express have been operated between Namba and Kansai Airport since Kansai International Airport opened in 1994.

Limited Express (特急)
In the day time, Limited Express trains are operated between Namba and Wakayamashi. The trains stop at the same stations as the Southern Limited Express trains. There are no seat reservations.
Express (急行)
Express trains are not operated from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on weekdays, but in the early morning on Saturdays, Sundays, Holidays, and Obon days, and up Express trains in the early morning and midnight. Half of the trains are the through trains to the Wakayamako Line. Some of the trains consist of six or eight cars, and if they consist of eight cars, Josei Senyo Sharyo is located at the fourth car from Namba in the morning rush hours.
Before November 26, 2005, they were operated all day, and two trains were operated per hour from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
Airport Express (空港急行)
All day, Airport Express trains are operated between Namba on the Nankai Line and Kansai Airport on the Airoport Line. Two trains are operated per hour from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
Sub. Express (区間急行)
All day, Sub Express trains are operated between Namba and Hagurasaki, Misakikoen, or Wakayamashi. They are operated between Namba and Misakikoen from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. and between Namba and Hagurasaki or Wakayamashi in the rush hours.
Semi-Express (準急)
They are operated from Hagurasaki or Haruki to Namba in the morning rush hours.
Local (普通)
All day, Local trains are operated between Namba and Wakayamashi or Kansai Airport. In the rush hours and at night, trains also return at Hagurasaki, Tarui, or Misakikoen.
