Part One

Narrator: It was a warm day on the Island of Sodor. The engines were doing their normal jobs as usual. The engines on the main line were working real hard and so are the engines on branch line. Thomas' branch line had been worked on for a long time. Thomas with Percy, Emily, Toby, Daisy, Rosie, and Stanley kept the branch line running. They took passengers on long tours and they bring them back. Thomas and his friends were talking to the other engines.

Emily: Our branch line is the longest running one of them all.

Duck: Don't forget - me and Oliver run our branch line. You're not alone. If you are alone, pulling branch line passenger would be too hard for you and Thomas.

Emily: Heh, I can do all.

Narrator: When they were done chatting, they continued their works. Thomas set off to shunt trucks with Oliver. After they have finished shunting Thomas spoke to Oliver.

Thomas: Is everyone's branch line more important?

Oliver: Thomas, everyone’s branch line is important.

Narrator: Thomas wondered for the rest of the day. The next day came a surprise for Emily. She was feeling happy and cheerful. But not everyone else. Thomas, Percy, Toby, Daisy, Stanley, and Rosie were upset.

Thomas: Our valves' have failed.

Daisy: My brakes won't work.

Emily: What happened to all of you?

Stanley: Sorry, Emily, but we can't work today.

Thomas' fireman: Thomas' valve can be easily repaired, but it will take a while to get it done.

Thomas' driver: And the others would take until tomorrow.

Emily's driver: Emily, you'll have to work Thomas and Duck's branchlines.

Emily: What happened to Duck?

Narrator: Her driver and fireman didn't reply. She was soon ready.

Thomas: Emily, when I'm fixed, I'll come to help.

Emily: Okay.

Narrator: Emily soon set off. She collected her coaches Martha and Jennifer first. Then she collected Annie, Brittany, Clarabel, Henrietta, and Victoria, and hurried to Duck's branchline. When Emily reached Duck's branch line, he found that Duck and Oliver were needed to have their smoke boxes repaired.

Duck: Thank goodness, Emily.

Oliver: You'll need to take our passengers.

Narrator: Emily was soon coupled up to Isabel, Dulcie, Alice, and Mirabel, and set off to collect the passengers. She groaned under the strain of eleven coaches.

Emily: {groans} Ohhhhh! Now I know what extremely hard work is!

Narrator: Emily collected Duck and Oliver's passengers from Henry and took them to wherever they want to go. As soon as she delivered the first set of passengers, she collected some and set off again. She soon got to her destination and she was already feeling exhausted.

Emily: Man... I know why everyone is important.

Sing-a-Long Segment

{Cut to Thomas and Emily on the stage}

Thomas: All right, boys and girls. Are your vocal chords all tuned up and ready? Cause this is the part of the episode known as the sing-along. In which all you kids out there join us in singing the lyrics of The Fab Four's next song. Prop man!

Emily: At your service! He's out sick this week. He asked me to take his place. What kind of song are we going to do?

Thomas: Well, it's quite a wild theme. A real jump tune!

Emily: A jump tune, you say? I've just the thing! {exits}

Thomas: Now kids, as I was saying-

Emily: {dressed as a jumper} How's this Thomas?

Thomas: A paratrooper?

Emily: Well, you said you wanted to put the folks in the mood for a jump tune! {laughs}

Thomas: Oh. Well, then I suggest you take a flying leap for yourself!

Emily: Don't mind if I do! {jumps off stage} GERONIMO-O-O-O-O-O-O-!!! {CRASH!}

Thomas: You know, I always knew someday she'd go off the deep end.

{Emily floats up with a parachute above/below her.}

Emily: Wouldn't ya know it? I had me blinking parachute upside-down! {laughs as she continues floating up}

Thomas: Would you believe it?

The Beatles:
If I fell in love with you
Would you promise to be true
And help me understand
'cause I've been in love before
And I found that love was more
Than just holding hands

If I trust in you, oh please
Don't run and hide
If I love you too, oh please
Don't hurt my pride like her
'Cause I couldn't stand the pain
And I would be sad if our new love was in vain

So I hope you see that I
Would love to love you
And that she will cry
When she learns we are two
Cause I couldn't stand the pain
And I would be sad if our new love was in vain

So I hope you see that I
Would love to love you
And that she will cry when she learns we are two.
If I fell in love with you

{Cut back to the stage}

Thomas: That was pretty good for a warm up, but some of you kids out there were hardly singing at all. This time, I really want to hear you. But first, we'll have to have the proper setting. Prop girl! Oh, prop girl!

Emily: Right here, Thomas!

Thomas: Now, Emily, for this next song, I should like you to decorate the stage in a way to make the folks out there want to join in.

Emily: I know just the thing! {exits}

Thomas: And now, while Emily is getting the props to set the stage, I want-

Emily: Here it is!

{Emily is dressed as a soldier, and with her is an Uncle Sam poster.}

Thomas: What on earth is that thing have to do with our next song?

Emily: Well, you said you wanted something that will make the people want to join.

Thomas: I meant join in, not join up!

Emily: In, up, what's the difference?

Thomas: This is in, {shoves helmet over Emily's smokebox} this is up, {tosses Emily in the air} this is down, {Emily lands on the stage} and this is OUT!! {throws Emily and poster off stage}

Emily: That was ridiculous! {laughs}

Thomas: All right. Now, let's hear it, folks!

The Beatles:
You'll never know how much I really love you.
You'll never know how much I really care.

Listen,
Do you want to know a secret?,
Do you promise not to tell, whoa oh, oh.

Closer,
Let me whisper in your ear,
Say the words you long to hear,
I'm in love with you.

Listen,
Do you want to know a secret?,
Do you promise not to tell, whoa oh, oh.

Closer,
Let me whisper in your ear,
Say the words you long to hear,
I'm in love with you.

I've known the secret for a week or two,
Nobody knows, just we two.

Listen,
Do you want to know a secret?,
Do you promise not to tell, whoa oh, oh.

Closer,
Let me whisper in your ear,
Say the words you long to hear,
I'm in love with you.

Part Two

Narrator: Emily had soon finished her work on Duck's branch line and set back to Thomas' branch line. Emily returned and started with her passengers. But because there were so many, Emily picked up four coaches from Edward's branch line and began to feel tired even more. When Emily started her journey, she became more exhausted. Her wheels began to slip more. When she dropped off most of her passengers and collected more, ahead came trouble. There was a big hill, similar to Gordon’s hill. When Emily reached the hill, she was even more tired. Martha and Jennifer saw the hill and began to worry. All the other coaches worried, too. But Emily began to climb the hill. She grew even more exhausted and tired. Her wheels began to feel wobbly. And her face turned blue as Thomas. Then suddenly, her safety valve burst. And her brakes snapped as well. After a violent hissing, Emily rolled down the hill backwards. The coaches' brakes came on, preventing them from derailing. After Emily stopped safely, she felt exhausted.

Emily's driver: We can't go any further, and we have a load of passengers.

Emily: Now I know how everyone's line is important.

Narrator: There was nothing Emily could do. Harold was flying overhead.

Harold: Hello, Emily.

Emily: Hi, Harold.

Narrator: Harold could see that Emily was in trouble. And he zoomed away to find help.

Emily: {moans} I wish everyone was helping out on their branch lines.

Narrator: Just then, Thomas came up to Emily.

Thomas: Hello, Emily. I see you broke down.

Emily: {sighs sadly} Yeah...

Thomas: That's too bad. I can't pull you and the trains by myself.

Several voices: But we're here!

Narrator: Thomas and Emily looked to see Edward, Boco, Donald and Douglas.

Edward: Emily, everyone's branchline is important.

Douglas: And so is teamwork!

Emily: Thanks, guys.

Narrator: Thomas took Emily back to the sheds, then returned for Annie, Brittany, and Clarabel. Edward took Henrietta and Victoria. Boco took Martha, Jennifer, and two of the red coaches. Donald took Isabel, Dulcie, and a coach. Douglas took Alice, Mirabel, and a coach. All five engines got all the branch lines running smooth until there were no more passengers. Later, Sir Topham Hatt came to see Emily and the other branch line engines.

Sir Topham Hatt: Emily, I am proud for your brave effort today, handling all the passengers yourself.

Emily: Thank you, sir.

Sir Topham Hatt: {to Thomas, Edward, Boco, Donald and Douglas} The rest of you did your best as well. The engines will be back to working order soon.

Narrator: And he left. Emily gave a relief sight.

Emily: Everyone is important to the railway, branch lines and main lines.

Percy: And guess what? First there was Gordon's hill, and now there is Emily's hill!

Narrator: All the engines laughed. And by the next day, Thomas, Percy, Toby, Daisy, Stanley, Rosie, Duck, and Oliver were able to work on their branch lines. Edward, Boco, Donald and Douglas returned to their branch lines. All the coaches on Thomas' and Duck's branch lines were glad to have their engines back. As Emily was repaired, Thomas looked after Martha and Jennifer for her. He didn't mind the extra work. Emily was happy to have her friends.
