Part One

Narrator: It was springtime on the Island of Sodor. The snow was gone. Birds were singing. And Sir Topham Hatt even shaved his back (about time). Unfortunately, this meant he decided it was time to show off his new found skin and ran around topless! It was coincidentally around this time when most of the people went blind. One morning, Thomas and Percy were shunting trucks in the yard.

Thomas: Hey guys, I heard there's a new engine coming.

Percy: Really?

Thomas: Yeah, he's coming tomorrow, apparently.

Percy: It must be a preserved steam engine, though.

Thomas: Yeah, the last thing we need is a new diesel. But some are nice, though. Like Boco and Mavis.

Percy: Yeah...

Narrator: The next day, the engines were in the sheds, waiting for Sir Topham Hatt.

Thomas: I wonder who the new engine will be.

Gordon: I hope he comes from the LNER.

Henry: Or perhaps the Midlands.

Duck: Maybe another Great Western engine.

James: That tin-pot railway.

Duck: {angry} Tin-pot?! Let me-

Sir Topham Hatt: Silence! Now I suppose you're all wondering why I called you here...

Thomas: A new engine, sir.

Sir Topham Hatt: {shocked} How did you find out?

Percy: Like, James told us.

Sir Topham Hatt: James, how did you find out?

James: You told me.

Sir Topham Hatt: Oh. I must have been drunk or something. Anyway, {clears throat} she was built by the old Great Eastern Railway in Britain. Her name is Molly.

Gordon: Yes! Another Eastern engine in the yard!

Narrator: Just then, Molly puffed in. She was bright yellow. She had great big wheels and a shiny funnel. She looked very smart.

Sir Topham Hatt: Everyone, meet Molly. She is the newest edition to the railway. And you don't want to mess with her. {shocked} Seriously, though! She's a killer!

Molly: Hello, everybody. It's nice to see you all.

Gordon: You might've heard of me from the LNER. I'm Gordon.

Molly: Yep, I've seen you. Great Northern Railway number 1469 {one-four-sixty-nine}.

Gordon: This green engine over here is Henry.

Henry: Hello, Molly. I was expecting a Fowler or a Jubilee, but you're cool.

Molly: {blushes} Thanks.

Edward: {grandly} I am Edward. Welcome to our railway, my lady.

Narrator: Edward tried to bow to Molly, but he failed miserably. He would have kissed her hand too, if she had hands.

Percy: I'm Percy. We don't see many of your class anymore.

Molly: Yeah. {sadly} I'm the last of my kind.

Duck: I'm Duck, and this is my best friend, Oliver.

Oliver: Hello, Molly.

James: {yells} You're hot!!!

{The other engines stare at him, except Thomas for some reason.}

James: Anyways, James is the name, being shiny and clean is me game! {laughs proudly} You might have heard of me.

Molly: Not really.

James: {mutters} #$^& it...

Donald: I'm Donald...

Douglas: ...and I'm Douglas!

Donald and Douglas: We're Scottish twins!

Molly: Whoa, Scottish engines. We don't see much of those anymore.

Donald: {sadly} Och, we don't.

Douglas: {sadly} We're of a dying breed.

Molly: I didn't catch your name.

Narrator: Thomas didn't answer. He was speechless.

{Thomas' mouth turns from open wide to a big open smile, and hearts appear in his eyes.}

Emily: That's Thomas. He usually doesn't act like this.

Molly: I see.

Sir Topham Hatt: Molly, your first jobs are on the main line. Gordon will show you around.

Narrator: Soon, the engines set off for work, except Thomas.

Sir Topham Hatt: Thomas, are you okay?

Thomas: {smiles} She is so beautiful...

Narrator: Several days went by. Thomas still talked about Molly nonstop, and he would catch a glimpse of her out of the corner of his eye whenever possible. The other engines were getting annoyed by Thomas' wussiness.

Oliver: What's going on with Thomas? He's taking Molly a little too seriously lately, and he won't tell her his feelings. Also, {annoyed} I'm very sick and tired of constantly having cameos! {not annoyed} Anyway, if he doesn't tell her now, someone else might take her from him.

James: Might be me! Her sweet-

{Everyone stares at James.}

Percy: You are really screwed in the smokebox, James. At least I'm no pervert.

Sing-a-Long Segment

{Cut to Molly and Emily on the stage}

Molly: And now we come to that part of the series where we ask all of you out there in the audience to sing along with the Fab Four. Emily, the sign please!

Emily: A little lower, Charlie! Now a bit more to the right! Hold it right there! Well, Molly, what do you think?

Molly: It's utterly far!

Emily: I'd figure it myself to get the people singin'!

Molly: The word is "sing-ing".

Emily: Singin', that's what I said!

Molly: -ing! Singing! You really aught to pay more attention with your pronunciation!

Emily: What's wrong with the way I pronounceiate them?

Molly: Well, for one, you're always dropping your G's.

Emily: What do you mean, droppin' my G's?

Molly: See, you did it again! The word is dropping-ing!

Emily: {shrugs} Aw, what's the difference? Droppin' a G never hurts anybody.

{The G in "along" falls and lands on Emily's smokebox.}

Molly: {sarcastically} Oh no? What are you going to say about it now?

Emily: G-likers! {passes out}

Molly: Now let's sing friends. A-one, a-two...

The Beatles:
I've got every reason on earth to be mad
'Cause I just lost the only girl I had
If I could get my way
I'd get myself locked up today
but I can't, so I'll cry instead

I've got a chip on my shoulder that's bigger that my feet
I can't talk to people that I meet
If I could see you now
I'd try to make you sad somehow
But I can't, so I'll cry instead

Don't want to cry when there's people there
I get shy when they start to stare
I'm gonna hide myself away
But I'll come back again someday

And when you do you'd better hide all the girls
I'm gonna break their hearts all round the world
Yes, I'm gonna break them in two
And show you what your lovin' man can do
Until then I'll cry instead

I've got every reason on earth to be mad
'Cause I just lost the only girl I had
If I could get my way
I'd get myself locked up today
but I can't, so I'll cry instead

Don't want to cry when there's people there
I get shy when they start to stare
I'm gonna hide myself away
But I'll come back again someday

And when you do you'd better hide all the girls
I'm gonna break their hearts all round the world
Yes, I'm gonna break them in two
And show you what your lovin' man can do
Until then I'll cry instead

{Cut back to the stage.}

Molly: That was a bit all right, all right? {Emily comes by with a book} Benny, Doug, you were simply fa- {BUMP!}

Emily: Oh, uh, pardon me Molly! The rain stain falls mainly on the plain!

Molly: Is that what you interrupted our sing-along for? Some silly weather report?

Emily: I was practicing the exercise in this book. It's easy on how you pronounceiate good, like an Englishman should!

Molly: The word is e-nounceiate! E, e, E! Don't you know of a king's English?

Emily: No, of a queen's! {laughs}

Molly: Look, Emily, let me finish this next sing-along and I promise I'll help you with your Dickson lessons!

Emily: Honest? Cross your heart and not to die?

Molly: Cross my heart, and not to die.

Emily: Step on it Captain, hidden his eye!

Molly: Step on it Captain, hidden his eye-

{Emily smashes Molly in the face with the book.}

Emily: That does it! I ain't taking no speech lessons from some bloke who mistreats animals! {reading while she exits the stage, passing a brown cow} How now, brown cow?

Brown Cow Actor: Can't complain! How's about you?

{Cut back to Molly, tipped over on her side}

Molly: Everybody sing!

The Beatles:
Well they took some honey from a tree
Dressed it up and they called it me

Everybody's trying to be my baby
Everybody's trying to be my baby
Everybody's trying to be my baby, now

Well half past nine, half past four
Fifty women knocking on my door

Everybody's trying to be my baby
Everybody's trying to be my baby
Everybody's trying to be my baby, now

Went out last night, I didn't stay late
'fore I got home I had nineteen dates

Everybody's trying to be my baby
Everybody's trying to be my baby
Everybody's trying to be my baby, now

Well they took some honey from a tree
Dressed it up and they called it me

Everybody's trying to be my baby
Everybody's trying to be my baby
Everybody's trying to be my baby, now

Went out last night, I didn't stay late
'fore I got home I had nineteen dates

Everybody's trying to be my baby
Everybody's trying to be my baby
Everybody's trying to be my baby, now

Well they took some honey from a tree
Dressed it up and they called it me

Everybody's trying to be my baby
Everybody's trying to be my baby
Everybody's trying to be my baby, now

Part Two

Narrator: Meanwhile, Molly was preparing her first passenger train on Sodor. She was careful not to bump the coaches, because most boy engines were rough with them, especially James. As she went along the countryside, the coaches and passengers were impressed.

NWR Coaches: Women always lead! Women always lead!

Narrator: She arrived at Knapford Station early, just as Gordon arrived at the station. Sir Topham Hatt was waiting anxiously for Molly. He was impressed.

Sir Topham Hatt: Molly, you're doing a great job so far. Keep up the good work.

Narrator: Later, Molly was telling the other engines about her life - the LNER years, the post-war years, and how she arrived on Sodor.

Molly: ...luckily for me, I was saved by the North Norfolk Railway, and lived there for a happy fifteen years.

Narrator: The other engines were impressed with her, and praised her.

Henry: She is amazing!

Douglas: Molly has resource...

Gordon: ...and sagacity.

Emily: What does that mean?

Percy: I think it's about being clever and wise.

Gordon: She is an example to us all.

Molly: {giggling} You're too kind.

Narrator: I'm sorry to say it made her puffed in the smokebox, and became rather conceited. One afternoon, she was shunting trucks at the quarry with Boco, Mavis and Diesel. Molly had a fear of diesels, by saw that Boco and Mavis were friendly and became friends with them. Diesel had an idea to trick her.

Diesel: Hello, there. You must be the new engine, Molly.

Molly: Yes, I am.

Narrator: Molly didn't know that Diesel was playing a trick on her.

Diesel: Henry says he'd like you to take his train this evening. He'd be honored.

Molly: Well, that is nice of a Midland to let me take his or her train. {puffs away}

Diesel: {laughs}

Narrator: Soon, Molly took Henry's train to the other railway. She didn't realize that Henry was late because a cow had come onto his line, and by the time he arrived, Molly had left.

Molly: This is really lovely. My first evening train in a while!

Narrator: Molly was coming to a broken bridge, and the trucks had a plan.

Troublesome Trucks: ON! ON! ON!

Narrator: Molly applied her brakes, by it was too late!

{Molly runs into the barrier, and dangles over a river.}

Molly: {yelling} Help!!! I'm going to fall!

Narrator: Meanwhile, Thomas was pulling his last train for the evening. The stationmaster was waiting for him.

Stationmaster: Thomas! Molly is dangling off a bridge, and you need to save her!

Annie: Hey, Clarabel! Thomas is in love!

Thomas: No, I'm not!

Clarabel: Really? We know you like her!

Thomas: I'll get Percy back to fetch you!

Annie and Clarabel: We heard that one before!

Narrator: Thomas arrived at Knapford, and saw Henry and Sir Topham Hatt. Sir Topham Hatt was cross.

Sir Topham Hatt: Thomas! Henry was supposed to take his goods train to the other railway, and now it's been taken by Molly!

Thomas: This is one of Diesel's tricks! I can't let Molly become extinct! {puffs away}

Sir Topham Hatt: I'll make sure Diesel is spoken to!

Narrator: Thomas found Molly at the bridge. Luckily, she was still in the same position she'd been for the last forty minutes.

Molly: Thomas, help me! I'm going to fall!

Thomas: No you won't!

Narrator: Thomas carefully buffered up to the brakevan, and pulled hard as he could. Molly released her brakes and backed up. They made it out just in time, as the bridge collapsed!

{Thomas and Molly return to Knapford.}

Sir Topham Hatt: Molly, what are you playing at?

Molly: I'm sorry, sir. But Diesel told me that Henry asked me to take his train.

Henry: No, I didn't! It's just another of Diesel's nasty tricks!

Sir Topham Hatt: I have spoken to Diesel, and he will shunt in the yards for the next month.

Narrator: Molly saw that Thomas had left quickly, and left to find him. Henry took his goods train on a different route to the other railway. Molly found Thomas in Ffarqhuar sheds, looking miserable.

Thomas: {sadly} Hello, Molly...

Molly: Thomas, what's wrong?

Thomas: It's just that... I fell in love with you since I first saw you.

Molly: {surprised} You do?

Thomas: Yes. It just sucks.

Molly: Aw, I’m so sorry!

Thomas: It's not your fault. Some things just happen when you don’t expect them.

Narrator: Then the most odd thing happened. Molly slowly puffed forward to Thomas, and smiled.

Thomas: Molly, y-you love-

Molly: Yes. I didn't like James at all.

Thomas: You are the most beautiful Claud Hamilton I ever met.

Molly: {blushing more} Aww... thanks!

{Molly puckers her lips to kiss Thomas. Thomas gets queasy and...}

Thomas: {throws up on Molly} Bluuuuch!

Molly: Eeewwww!

Thomas: {looks away, embarrassed} Sorry...

Molly: No, it's okay, Thomas! {Thomas looks at her.} Everything's going to be o-kay!

Narrator: One evening, later that week, Thomas and Molly were on a date to Black Loch. Molly loved the sunset and the seals playing in the water.

Thomas: Molly, you're the best date I've ever had.

Molly: {blushes} Thanks, Thomas. You're the best date I've ever had too.

Thomas: {starts to speak, but is cut off}

Molly: I love you, too, Thomas.

Thomas: How did you know what I was about to say?

Molly: Sometimes a girl just knows. By the way, how'd you know I had a crush on you?

Thomas: I just do.

{The song Sore ga, ai Deshou by Mikuni Shimokawa plays. Cut to a ThomasxMolly montage.}

Mikuni Shimokawa:
(Like in the days when my tears overflowed) {Molly is in a siding, crying}
(I want to be the only one on your back) {Thomas is next to Molly, comforting her.}
(Because sometimes kindness is cruel) {James puffs away from Molly, leaving her upset}
(The more you search the further away the answer seems) {Molly smiles at Thomas, and he throws up}

(If can see the rainbow from the streets after the rain) {Molly is looking up at the sky}
(Let's start walking now and something will start!) {Thomas and Molly are puffing on the same track, buffer to buffer}

{End credits start}

(Because you are here, because there will be a tomorrow) {Thomas and Molly at Tidmouth Sheds}
(Because I can't go on alone) {Molly struggling at Gordon's hill}
(Feeling you being this close, this is love isn't it?) {Molly and Thomas are kissing in a siding}
(The countless tears and pain, because you understand that) {Molly is crying, Thomas feels sorry for her}
(In those eyes that I can see through) {Thomas smiles and Molly, and she looks at him}
(We will find a definite meaning, and the bright smile that I want to see...) {Thomas and Molly puffing on parallel tracks}

{End credits pause}

(Even though I don't say anything these feelings for you) {Molly thinks of Thomas}
(If only they can be conveyed to you) {Thomas thinks of Molly}
(But this town will little by little change color) {Molly puffs past the windmill}
(And yet new memories will be born!) {Thomas and Molly at Tidmouth Sheds, with a daughter resembling Molly}

{End credits resume}

(That words you said to me one by one) {Thomas and Molly pulling Annie and Clarabel together}
(Even though I am being embraced by it) {Molly puffs by the countryside}
(Together we will continue to build something) {Thomas and Molly smiling at each other}
(This is love isn't it?) {different angle}
(Even if we're waiting for a tomorrow that nobody knows of) {Molly is talking to Gordon at Knapford}
(It's okay, don't shed tears now) {Thomas alone in a siding}
(Hand in hand with you) {Thomas and Molly puffing buffer to buffer in the countryside}
(We will keep walking forever...)

{End credits pause}

(From that sudden moment, not like an erupting feeling) {Thomas shows a face in rescuing Molly}
(But it's like something that builds up slowly) {Thomas pulls Molly free from the bridge}
(The feeling of being loved!) {Thomas and Molly at Ffarqhuar sheds}

{End credits resume}

(Because you are here, because there will be a tomorrow) {Thomas and Molly at Tidmouth Sheds}
(Because I can't go on alone) {Molly struggling at Gordon's hill}
(Feeling you being this close, this is love isn't it?) {Molly and Thomas are kissing in a siding}
(The countless tears and pain, because you understand that) {Molly is crying, Thomas feels sorry for her}
(In those eyes that I can see through) {Thomas smiles and Molly, and she looks at him}
(We will find a definite meaning, and the bright smile that I want to see...) {Thomas and Molly puffing on parallel tracks}

{As the song ends, it shown to be part of the song. Thomas and Molly are puffing away in the distance.}

Narrator: And so, we come to the happy end of our tenth episode. But it's time for all of us to go home, just like Thomas and Molly, our Sodor steam lovers.

{Thomas blows his whistle; Molly follows.}
