Kendall's New Friend is episode 26 of The New Life.
Plot
Kendall has been complaining that he doesn't have a best friend. So, some workmen decide to build a new electric engine. They try to keep it a secret from Kendall, but he hears strange noises coming from the workshop. He goes inside, and sees what looks like an electric engine. The workmen tell Kendall about the surprise, and Kendall becomes full of joy. He does his work better than he's ever done it before, and Sir Topham Hatt is very pleased with him.
